Two interesting Hillary Clinton memory lapses

The rigorous campaign schedule may be getting to Democratic Presidential front runner Hillary Clinton as of late. Two interesting misstatements point either to fatigue, or worse.

At a recent campaign event in St. Louis, Missouri, Clinton said, ““I always get a little chuckle when I hear my opponent talking about [Healthcare reform],” she said, “well, I don’t know where he was when I was trying to get healthcare in ‘93 and ‘94.”

Rapid Response director for rival candidate Bernie Sanders, true to his job, very quickly posted the following two tweets:

for the record, she did know he was there: “i’m grateful that congressman sanders would join us today from vermont.” https://t.co/B2cvs4UNth

And quickly replied by others:

On Monday, at the Democratic Townhall on MSNBC Clinton made either the most heavily parsed truthful statement in history, the most ambitious form of doublespeak imaginable, or misspoke in a way defying almost any explanation:

“You see what’s happening in Syria with the consequence of millions of people flooding out of Syria, with more than 250,000 people killed, with terrorist groups like ISIS taking up a huge swath of territory as big as some of the states in that area,” Clinton said. “So yes, Libya was a different kind of calculation and we didn’t lose a single person.”

Besides the obvious (three American’s lost their lives in Benghazi) there is what sort of miscalculation would go into comparing one failed state foreign interventionist debacle to another failed state foreign interventionist disaster, both of which happened on her watch as Secretary of State.

As hard as it may be to believe, Clinton’s firewall of establishment media support has begun to crack with leftwing Politico asking“What’s Wrong With Hillary?” and uber-leftwing Salon predicting that “Hillary will never survive the Trump onslaught”.

Assuming Clinton’s misstatements are not part of some nefarious pattern to deceive voters, when it comes to Clinton’s ongoing email scandal the Washington Examiner has pointed out “Clinton may not have the luxury of playing dumb forever”.
